Paul-Timothy
Our Theology
Updated 19 July 2017

The authors of Paul-Timothy come from a secular, North American background. They became Christians as young adults. They joined evangelical congregations and worked for many years with evangelical missionary agencies.

The authors have collaborated with a variety of biblically-oriented Christian denominations, and most conservative theological tendencies. As they wrote the Paul-Timothy materials, they strove to maintain an entirely biblical approach, producing materials that would prove widely acceptable.

Thus, these materials remain neutral in regard to distinctive positions of various evangelical, Protestant, charismatic and Orthodox communions. Should you find an apparent bias or doubtful teaching, please bring this to our attention: click here

Paul-Timothy affirms the statement of faith of the World Evangelical Alliance regarding…

  • The Holy Scriptures as originally given by God, divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy; and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct...

  • One God, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit...

  • Our Lord Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh, His virgin birth, His sinless human life, His divine miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, His mediatorial work, and His Personal return in power and glory...

  • The Salvation of lost and sinful man through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ by faith apart from works, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit...

  • The Holy Spirit , by whose indwelling the believer is enabled to live a holy life, to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ...

  • The Unity of the Spirit of all true believers, the Church, the Body of Christ...

  • The Resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

Paul-Timothy advocates for:

  • Continual, rapid reproduction of congregations and cells as a means of winning populations to Christian faith and of making disciples of them.

  • Continual, rapid extension of Christian faith through the training of missionaries and shepherds who plant and lead new congregations and cells amongst recent Christian believers.

  • Rapid reproduction of apprentice leaders of newly-founded cells and congregations, without requiring extra-biblical qualifications.

  • Low-cost methods of evangelism and training that can be imitated in local, social networks and economies.

  • On-the-job training of apprentice shepherds and church planters in "multi-generational" training chains.

  • Menu-driven materials that help leaders coach their apprentices by responding to current opportunities and needs of newly-founded cells and congregations.

  • Sharing of authority between coaches and apprentices, empowering new leaders to lead their flocks in obeying all the commandments of Jesus.
