The Great Commission in Luke

Find in Luke 24:46-48 the basic, essential elements of the gospel proclamation and what Jesus requires seekers to do.

Find the same in 1 Corinthians 15:1-7.

The basic gospel proclamation

*Find in the closing chapters of the four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke & John) the basic Good News of Jesus' arrest, trial, death, burial, resurrection and post-resurrection appearances, and practice relating the events as the Good News.

*Find in Luke 10:1-24 what Jesus orders us to do as we announce His kingdom (apply the underlying principles to our modern situation).

*Review in Luke chapters 23 - 24 the basic story of the good news of the gospel.

*Find in Luke 23:1-25 why the king and governor let the religious leaders turn Jesus over to be killed.

*Find in Luke 23:26-43 what Jesus said when He was hanging from the cross.

*Find in Luke 23:44-56 what the Roman Captain thought about Jesus, and where Jesus was buried.

*Find in Luke 24:1-12 how His followers first knew that Jesus had risen from the dead.

*Find in Luke 24:13-35 how two disciples recognized the risen Christ.

*Find in Luke 24:36-44 how the risen Lord Jesus proved that He wasn't a ghost.

*Find in Luke 24:45-53 what we should explain to others about Jesus, and where He is now.

*Find in Matthew 13:24-43 and Rev. 20:11-15 what finally happens to people who reject God.
