Have family devotions. Ask each child to take turns to prepare something. If your family is musical include singing. Discuss and plan things for each person to do at school, at work or wit friends, to glorify God.

If you work cross-culturally:

• You may find that older children normally have responsibility to care for the younger ones.
• The language may have no vocabulary for brother and sister and only distinguish older and younger sibling.
• Children of the same father and of different mothers may have no special regard one for another.
• Sometimes a man feels no responsibility towards his wife's children from before their marriage.
