Section 05: NEW CHURCHES AND HOME GROUPS, Foundation Level 1c

05 1c: Help elders and new leaders to form small groups (churches within a church)

Form new groups through evangelism.

Do not multiply home groups by dividing them in two. Simply let new leaders, after a time of apprenticeship, form their own groups, mainly through evangelism.

Let the men and women of a parent group continue to disciple younger or newer believers who have joined a new group, at another time.

Have the daughter groups continue to meet occasionally for joyful celebration with the mother group.

Provide care for the children of several groups together when necessary.

*Find in Matthew 9:9-13 a good method for starting new home groups.

*Find a similar example in Luke 19:1-10.

Find in Acts 10:24 the type of group that was assembled and who was the catalyst who brought them together (it was an exclusive meeting).

Find in 2 Timothy 2:2 a principle that applies to the multiplication of home groups.

Find in Mark 3:13-18 to what Jesus compares normal growth and reproduction of the church.
