Set the example for visiting and encouraging.

• Nearly everyone needs occasional encouragement.
• Some people may not care to be visited by church leaders in their homes but others will desire it and benefit greatly.
• You can encourage and disciple believers in a restaurant, while jogging, during breaks o the job, etc.

Find in Ephesians chapters 1-2 what a person is and has in Christ (make a list) and use this to encourage those who are failing to grasp God's grace.

Have a respected elder make up a calendar for visiting, and accompany you on visits.

• As issues come up, note them in your diary along with your counsel and any outcome you learn later.
• If working cross-culturally, find a wise older person who can explain the causes and propose solutions for problems you encounter during visits.
