Section 10: MEMBER CARE AND COUNSELING, Pastoral Level 2a

10 2a: Resolve conflicts and correct unruly behavior in love and meekness

Correct faults without condemning.

Help those who cannot get along to forgive and be reconciled.

Find in 1 Corinthians several examples (in almost every chapter) of how the apostle Paul corrected serious sins without condemning.

Find in Hebrews 12 why we should appreciate God's punishment.

*Find in Genesis chapters 37 - 45 ways in which Joseph serves as an example for reconciliation between family members. Note how he refused to brood over being a victim, to seek revenge, nor be manipulated.

*Find in Luke 15:11-32 an example of the dangers involved when a person, like the prodigal son's older brother, resents or enjoys being a victim?
